It's been over two weeks now…
…and I’m feeling the heat. That’s when Jennifer introduced me as her new assistant and said I’d keep you SEO beginners up to date and supplied with all the tips and resources you need. So, with her orders to “post to the blog or else”, here I am.
It’s an appropriate task for me because I’m a beginner in SEO too. I’ll be learning right along with you and we’ll leave the advanced stuff to Jennifer and Bonnie.
No matter our expert (or not) SEO status, we’re all consumers…of information, products, and services. And we all know some basics about what makes a website one we want to visit again, and of course these same things make a website more popular with the search engines too.
I have some fun pointers to pass along. I did a Google search on “bad websites” and this site came up first: www.webpagesthatsuck.com. Why is it fun to look at bad websites? Maybe it makes us feel better about our own “sucky” designs or content when they’re pointed out to us!
But we can learn from them too. While we’re having fun laughing at these websites, let’s check our own sites for any “mystery meat navigation”, bad design, etc., and make some changes.
A great resource to create a user-friendly, powerful website, including the 24 key components needed to create a successful site, is our “Marketing Blueprint”. If you don’t have it yet, here’s where you can request your copy: http://www.ecombuffet.com/request_marketing_blueprint.htm.
That’s all for now,
