News

NewspaperSo far so good, I’m on to my second post!  This post is going to be a random collection of thoughts and things I want to share.  It’s been about 6 months since I’ve posted so I’ve collected a lot of thoughts and things I want to share.  Bear with me as I do a little brain dump here.  I promise future posts will be more focused on a specific theme.

  1. I was recently voted one of the Top 25 Female SEO Bloggers!  Ironic since I haven’t been posting on my own Blog.  I have been active in guest posting though, so I still deserve the title!  J  You can’t take it away!   Check out the list here: http://upcity.com/blog/2013/02/25-excellent-female-seo-bloggers-worth-reading/
  2. I have been a regular columnist at Level343 and wanted to share a link so you can read some of my content there. I’ll continue to post on Level343 even though I will be blogging here a lot more often.  Here are my articles for Level343:   http://level343.com/article_archive/author/jennifer/
  3. We have a new Manager of Client Services and we are really excited.  Karen Johnson is new to the team and a great asset.  Welcome Karen! karenprofile picKaren will be overseeing client projects, reaching out to clients to see how we can better help them and she’ll also be the main point of contact for people with general questions and requests.  We are thrilled to have her!
  4. I am accepting quality guest Blog posts, so feel free to email me at Jennifer at ecombuffet.com with submissions.
  5. We launched a new service, a Rescue Review – which is an in-depth review of your site and links to determine if you’ve been hit by Panda or Penguin (or both).  The report outlines the problems and solutions.  You can get more info here:http://www.ecombuffet.com/rescue-review.htm
  6. I’m always taking requests for topics you want covered in the Blog or questions you want answered, so please feel free to email me. :)
  7. I’m getting ready to launch a new Social Media training program – it’s going to be very cool!  Stay tuned.

I think that covers it for now.  I’ll be back soon with my next post and it’s going to be a good one (but aren’t they all?  LOL)

Vacation

I’ll be on vacation for a week, so there won’t be any updates until the week of June 5th.  You can always contact Arlyn Baggot, our Business Growth Advisor with any questions.

EcomBuffet awarded for charity work

On Saturday May 20, in Long Beach California, EcomBuffet.com was awarded with the Corporate Partner, Commitment to Youth 2006 award, by OperationJumpStart.org.

OperationJumpStart (OJS) is a non-profit organization based in Long Beach CA.  OJS is dedicated to mentoring and guiding disadvantaged youth through high school and into college.  This year 100% of the students in the OJS program are graduating from high school and attending college.

EcomBuffet has been supporting OJS for over 3 years.  EcomBuffet staff have volunteered their time at community service events, we have mentored students and we have donated our web and search engine services to OJS for 3 years.

EcomBuffet will continue to support OJS and the wonderful work they do!

A big thank you to everyone at OJS for giving us this special award and recognition for our services.  We also salute you for the wonderful work you do!

With sincere gratitude and appreciation,

Jenn

ArticleBurner.com

EcomBuffet has acquired www.ArticleBurner.com from Rick Butts.  Rick is the genius behind the creation of ArticleBurner, but over time he has focused on other things and wanted ArticleBurner to go to someone that would work on developing it so it would have maximum benefit to clients.  EcomBuffet purchased ArticleBurner with plans to add on to the service, making it accessible to more people and eventually evolving into some exciting article syndication projects in the future.

Our recent tweaks to the program make it something that every website owner should have.  ArticleBurner allows you to display other’s people’s high quality, topical articles on your site.  This allows for new content to be added to your site with almost no effort on your part.  The engines love new content and you can count on a boost in rankings as you regularly add new articles.  You simply place a piece of search engine friendly code on your site and voila — new content to please the engines and your readers.  You don’t need to be a techie or a copywriter – you simply need a subscription to ArticleBurner.com and you’ll be set for fresh content!

As an SEO company, we are constantly preaching content addition to our clients.  You need to grow your site and continue to add valuable information.  What’s easier than posting someone else’s articles?  It also gives a fresh writing style and perspective on the topic for your visitors to read.

Check it out!  We are continuing to honor Rick’s offer: Your first month for $1.00.

Less than a cup of coffee from Starbucks!  You need to evaluate what will ultimately be a large piece of your content addition plan.  As you sit there reading this, I know you are thinking you have to try it out, because fresh content with just a few clicks solves one of the biggest SEO problems – which is no time and/or no experience in writing — both of which are needed for content addition plans.  Visit www.articleburner.com and give it a test drive.

Did I mention that in addition to having access to other people’s content, as a subscriber you are permitted to add articles to the ArticleBurner system for all of the other subscribers to use.  Each person that posts one of your articles instantly creates a one-way link back to your site.  It’s the easiest link acquisition that you’ll ever experience!

I meant this to be a short post, I just wanted to share the news of our acquisition but I get so excited about the benefits of ArticleBurner that I just keep going on and on.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions about how you can benefit from ArticleBurner.com.

Have a great week everyone.

Short week and no mouse

It was a short week, and a great week.  I enjoyed Canada Day on Saturday and also enjoyed the Fourth of July.  Wednesday and Tuesday just flew by and tomorrow is the end of the work week.  I hope you enjoyed your holiday.

My mouse is currently not working, so I’m getting by on keyboard codes — which I find more fun anyway.  So, in the midst of using keyboard codes and trying to cram a full week of work into just a few days, I realized I hadn’t posted anything on here.

So, here I am now.  :)

This post will be brief and is really designed to introduce you to the newest members of my blog.  Bonnie Burns is our Director of SEO and had been with us almost since we started.  I’ve invited Bonnie to share some of her thoughts, and definitely her humor with us all.  I hope you enjoy her posts.

I also want to introduce Brenda Bridwell.  Brenda is my assistant – although that doesn’t properly convey what she does for me.  I have to admit, she has brought me coffee and gotten my lunch just a couple times – but that’s only because she’s nice!  Her true role is to assist me with marketing projects, and she is also working on enhancing her copywriting skills.  So, you will soon hear from Brenda.  She’s going to handle keeping SEO beginners up to date and supplied with all the tips, instructions and resources they need.

So, you’ll be hearing from all 3 of us – covering a wide range of topics.  Don’t forget to submit your questions and comments.

Thanks!
