Starting Wednesday, the popular video-sharing site YouTube.com plans to feature semitransparent “overlay” ads at the bottom of selected video clips.
The ad will disappear after about 10 seconds if the viewer does nothing. The featured clip automatically pauses if the viewer clicks on the overlay to launch the full ad.

Canadian YouTube

YouTube (the popular video-sharing website) launched a Canadian version today.
YouTube.ca will highlight “made-in-Canada” content.
You will note Canadian spelling on the site, such as “Top Favourites” instead of “Top Favorites.”  Pretty cool, eh?
YouTube has already signed agreements with Canadian content partners including CBC,  CFL and Sony BMG Canada.
