Stats show us that more than 60% of online shoppers will abandon their cart and not complete the purchase.
If you site isn’t easy to use, you increase your chances of being abandoned.
Follow these tips to make sure your cart doesn’t let you down, and it continues to sell until the Purchase button is hit, and their credit card is charged.
- Make it very easy to get to the order page
- Make it very easy for visitors to alter their order — they should clearly be able to add or remove items with ease
- Use terms your visitors will recognize, like “Order” “Buy” or “Purchase” on your buttons
- Don’t hide prices
- Give all your contact info on the order page, and make it clear how they get help if they need it
- Mention any guarantees or refund policies
- Make your order page attractive. if possible include product photos
- Always make sure you remind people your order form is Secure
- Test your forms regularly to make sure they work
- Note any international limitations that may apply
- If possible, include a testimonial or two
- If possible, include one final great line about how wonderful the product is
- If they miss a field in the form, make sure the error message is clear so they know what to fix.
Remember to always think like a customer and review your pages.
After all the SEO work to drive traffic, you don’t want to lose them at the last minute.
