Welcome to EcomBuffet's SEO blog

We’ve been in business for over 6 years, serving hundreds of clients in many industries.  We’ve been so busy serving our clients and growing our business, we haven’t had time before this to actually get out here and have some fun for ourselves.

After countless blogs being set up for clients, we decided we need to get our own blog out there.  So, here it is.  Welcome!  I am the Director of Marketing for EcomBuffet.com (www.searchenginewebpromotion.com

is our SEO Division).  My name is Jennifer Horowitz.

So, what do I have to say and why should you bother reading it?  The answer to the first question is, I have lots to say – one thing I am known for is never being at a loss for words.  Why should you read what I have to say?  That’s an easy one as well – because I know SEO.  I have immersed myself in SEO and online marketing for about 10 years now.

This blog has two purposes:

1.  To proved an outlet for my many thoughts, rants, and opinions about SEO

2. To provide you with factual, current and up-to-date information on what is going on in the SEO world

This blog is essentially the newsletter for EcomBuffet, where we will share with you all that is exciting/interesting and sometimes boring, all that is right and wrong within the world of SEO.

So, now that I have introduced myself, let me share a tidbit of news for the day…then I must get back to my ringing phone and my ever-growing Inbox full of emails.

Search IP’s on MSN….

A search can be done, using this format at MSN:

ip: ###.###.###.###

What will it tell you?  It will reveal all of the sites in the MSN index that are hosted on that IP.

Why does that matter?  Hosts have a limited number of IP numbers and recycle them from customer to customer. Search engines keep lists of IP numbers that were used by “less than ethical” websites — in other words, the ones that are on the watch list for having been naughty.  Sometimes a new site that is placed on an IP of an old site that has been banned can really affect the new sites’ chances with the engines.

It’s something we like to check out for our clients, and just a little tip we wanted to pass on to you.

Enjoy your day and stay tuned for more SEO updates, information, tips, facts and advice.
